If you've played Pokémon X/Y, OR/AS, or Sun/Moon, you're no stranger to the concept of Mega Evolution. Mega Evolution occurs when a trainer's bond with their Pokemon is extremely strong, allowing them to undertake an amazing transformation. Here on Cobbleland, it's no different. By crafting a Mega Bracelet and obtaining a Mega Stone for a specific Pokémon, you can unlock the power of Mega Evolution!
Mega Stones are the items that allow for certain Pokemon to Mega Evolve. These stones can be obtained through various means such as:
/warp crates
/voteshop
/trivia
Community Goal Rewards
Depending on which Mega Stone you obtain, only a certain species of Pokemon will be able to use it. For example, only Ampharos can use Ampharosite, and only Steelix can use Steelixite. For more information on Mega Evolution (i.e which Pokemon can Mega Evolve, their abilities and stat increases, etc.), please take a look at Bulbapedia's article on the topic.
In order to Mega Evolve your Pokemon, you will need a Mega Bracelet. These bracelets are a way for the trainer to activate their Pokemon's Mega Stone. On Cobbleland, you can obtain Mega Bracelets through a custom crafting recipe.
You may notice the Mega Stone at the center of the crafting recipe. This Mega Stone can be any kind of stone, however, ensure that the stone you use is not the stone that you are most interested in. This is because upon crafting a Mega Bracelet, your stone will be consumed in the process. As such, be sure to use a stone that you either don't want, or can obtain again later. Once you craft a Mega Bracelet, simply hold it in your main hand and right click. If you do not have the ability already, you will see a message above the hotbar stating that you are now capable of performing Mega Evolution. Congratulations, trainer! Now, choose your strongest partner, and go test the strength of your bond. Note: You only have to use a Mega Bracelet once. Once you use it for the first time, Mega Evolution will be permanently available on any compatible Pokémon.
Now that you've created your Mega Bracelet and gotten the correct stone for your Pokémon of choice, it's time to Mega Evolve! Simply go up to a trainer or wild Pokémon, and send out the Pokémon that you wish to evolve.
Upon hitting the "Fight" button, you will see a small button next to the back arrow. When pressing it, you will see that it has turned into a rainbow gradient.
Once selecting your move, your Pokémon will then undergo Mega Evolution. Cobbleland uses the Generation VII Mega Evolution system, meaning that before any moves are made during the following turn, your Pokémon will have its stats, typing, and (if applicable) ability changed before either user makes a move. This means that if you use a Pokémon such as Garchomp that loses speed when Mega Evolved against a Pokémon that has a speed stat that is similar to Garchomp's speed, you could outspeed your opponent prior to Mega Evolution, but not after. Be sure to Mega Evolve in the right scenario, trainers!
Note: If you have a Mega Stone that you obtained prior to the introduction of the Mega Bracelet, any Mega Stones that you had must be fixed by using /fixmegastone.
Without fixing your Mega Stone before having a Pokémon hold it, there will be no visible option to Mega Evolve.
