๐ŸฅšBreeding Guide

Pasture Blocks are similar to PCs in that they can be placed and, when accessed, allow up to 16 Pokรฉmon from your PC to roam around. They can roam very far, so be prepared to lose track of them if theyโ€™re not fenced up. Be sure to keep your partners safe, Trainer!

To breed Pokรฉmon, you need to put a Hopper underneath a Pasture Block. Pokรฉmon who are roaming from that pasture block will then start breeding and will produce approximately 1 egg per hour. You can put a chest beneath or connected to the hopper to collect these eggs.

Note: Without a chest connected to the hopper, only a maximum of 5 eggs can be held at once. As such, it is strongly recommended to have at least a singular chest connected to your hopper.

Hatching Eggs

Be sure to check your chests periodically, there may be a surprise egg waiting in there for you to hatch! If you find an Egg in the chest, you will have to take it out and hold it in either your main/off hand. Each egg will need a certain amount of steps in order to hatch, after you've walked the required amount of steps the Egg will hatch automatically. You can view the amount of Egg steps remaining by using the command /eggstats.

Masuda Method: If you breed one of your own Pokรฉmon with a Pokรฉmon belonging to another player, it will increase the shiny chance from 1 in 4096 to 1 in 683. This is a great way to breed your favorite shinies! Egg Moves: To pass down an egg move to the Egg, one of the parents must have have the Move you want in it's current Move set. Once a egg is hatched, the Pokรฉmon should have the move learned automatically.

Flame Body: Having a Pokรฉmon in your party that has the ability Flame Body will actually help you out as it makes Eggs hatch faster! Some Pokรฉmon that you can find pretty easily with this ability would be Ponyta, Magmortar, and Sizzlipede.

Breeding Max IVs Pokemon

Breeding Pokรฉmon to achieve 100% IVs involves understanding and utilizing the game's breeding mechanics to their fullest. IVs are hidden stats that determine how high a Pokรฉmon's individual stats can potentially be. Each of the six stats (HP, Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense, Speed) can have an IV ranging from 0 to 31, with 31 being the highest. A Pokรฉmon with 31 IVs in all stats is often referred to as having "perfect IVs." Hereโ€™s an in-depth guide on how to achieve this through breeding:

1. Understand the Basics

  • IVs: Determine a Pokรฉmon's potential in each stat.

  • Nature: Affects the growth rate of two of its stats, increasing one by 10% and decreasing another by 10%.

  • Abilities: Some Pokรฉmon have abilities that can affect breeding outcomes.

  • Destiny Knot: An item that when held by a parent, ensures 5 out of the 6 IVs from both parents combined are passed down to the offspring.

2. Preparation

  • Get a Destiny Knot: This item is crucial for breeding as it allows more IVs to be passed down from the parents to the offspring.

  • Get an Everstone: This item, when held by a parent, will pass down the parent's Nature to the offspring.

  • Find a Ditto: Dittos are incredibly valuable for breeding as they can breed with almost any Pokรฉmon. A Ditto with high IVs or even perfect IVs is a great asset.

3. Find a Starting Pokรฉmon

  • Catch, trade or breed for Pokรฉmon with high IVs in the stats you are interested in. You can use the /ivs command to see your Pokรฉmonโ€™s IVs.

  • Use a Ditto: If you have a Ditto with high IVs, you can use it as one of the parents.

4. Breeding Process

  • Equip the Destiny Knot to one of the parents to ensure 5 IVs are passed down from the parents.

  • Equip an Everstone to the parent with the desired Nature to ensure it passes down.

  • Select the breeding pair: Pair your chosen Pokรฉmon with the Ditto or another Pokรฉmon that has the desired IVs in different stats.

5. Hatching Eggs

  • Hatch eggs until you get a Pokรฉmon with desired IVs. This process can be sped up with a Pokรฉmon that has the Flame Body or Magma Armor ability, which halves the number of steps needed to hatch an egg.

6. Iterative Breeding

  • Evaluate Offspring: Use the IV checker to evaluate the IVs of your hatched Pokรฉmon.

  • Upgrade Parents: Replace one of the breeding pair with the offspring if the offspring has better IVs in certain stats.

  • Repeat the breeding process, continuously improving the IVs of the offspring by selecting better parents.

7. Ability and Hidden Abilities

  • Some Pokรฉmon have hidden abilities that can be passed down through breeding. If you're aiming for a specific ability, ensure the parent Pokรฉmon has it.
