# Trivia Questions

Occasionally, during your adventures you will see a question similar to this pop up in your chat.

If you guessed Grass or Flying, you would be correct! On Cobbleland, we have periodic **Trivia Questions**. These questions will follow a set format, and reward the trainers who answer the quickest a varying amount of **Trivia Tokens**.

*Note: Answers will not be case-sensitive, and may be easier to answer with lowercase.*

### Types of Questions

### What type is \[Pokémon]?

These questions are simple; what typing is a certain Pokémon? For dual type Pokémon, either typing being said will work, and saying both typings will <mark style="color:red;">**not**</mark> work. Here's a quick example of how to answer a Trivia question in chat.

```
Arwyn: bro do you like my house
Quackie: yeah dude looks great
[Trivia] What type is Pikachu?
Arwyn: fire
Quackie: water
Ziograth: electric
[Trivia] Ziograth got the answer right in 3 seconds! They won a Trivia Token!
Ziograth: noice
```

That was for a single type Pokémon. Now, lets see something similar with a Pokemon with dual typing.

```
Unpause: knock knock
Slepp: whos there?
Unpause: interrupting cow
[Trivia] What type is Hawlucha?
Slepp: poison
Unpause: dark
Slepp: steel
Caderade007: fighting
[Trivia] Caderade007 got the answer right in 7 seconds! They won a Trivia Token!
```

So, be sure to only state one typing if the question asks for one. The trivia system will not detect more than one answer at a time, so be sure to choose the quickest typing!

### What ability does \[Pokémon] have?

Our next category of questions is a bit tougher, as you'll need to know the specific abilities of Pokémon. Here's a quick example:

<figure><img src="https://828466169-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FA3XG9mHfD33a0JszbFIW%2Fuploads%2Fd02xI2t5HEGDQAdWdQD1%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=0046093e-062d-481a-954d-3f3a6420370a" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

To answer this question, we need to type in one of Kecleon's abilities. As taken from [Pokémon Database](https://pokemondb.net/pokedex/kecleon), we can see that it has two abilities.

<figure><img src="https://828466169-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FA3XG9mHfD33a0JszbFIW%2Fuploads%2FXl1suv7ZVB3Le2s8Wjjz%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=b879571d-e056-49f1-971a-8609c0193c9f" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

These abilities are **Color Change** and **Protean**. But how would you answer the question correctly? <mark style="color:orange;">Protean</mark> is simple enough, as it is only one word, but <mark style="color:red;">Color</mark> <mark style="color:blue;">Change</mark> is two words. **When an ability is made up of multiple words, use a "-" in-between words.** So, the correct answers for this question would be either protean, or color-change.

Here is a quick example for a single worded ability:

```
JRWC_: I've finally finished the project I've been working on.
FROG: can i see?
JRWC_: Of course, tp to me
[Trivia] What ability does Mareanie have?
Ziograth: water-absorb
Slepp: poison-point
JRWC_: merciless
[Trivia] JRWC_ got the answer right in 5 seconds! They won a Trivia Token!
```

In this example, we have a Pokémon with **only** single worded abilities. Mareanie has the abilities **Merciless**, **Limber**, and **Regenerator**. Now lets take a look at a Pokémon that has an ability with two words:

```
Ayaan: you'll never beat me!
Winter: no no trust me i got this
Puff: idk dude thats a pretty tough fight-
[Trivia] What ability does Aerodactyl have?
Ayaan: gale-wings
Winter: intimidate
Puff: limber
Slepp: rock-head
[Trivia] Slepp got the answer right in 6 seconds! They won a Trivia Token!
Slepp: lets gooo
```

Be sure to read up on your books to get those shiny **Trivia Tokens!**

### Specific Trivia Questions

These questions will be noticeably different than the other two types. As such, this guide will include a description of these questions, but cannot give direct methodology to answer them. Sometimes, the Trivia will ask a very specific question, normally from game knowledge or the Pokémon anime. Here are a few examples of what you might encounter:

```
[Trivia] Who was Ash Ketchum's partner Pokemon in the anime?
```

The answer to this question would be: Pikachu.

```
[Trivia] What move doubles in power when inflicted by a status ailment?
```

The answer to this question would be: Facade.

```
[Trivia] What ability causes a Pokemon to take damage in the sun?
```

Sometimes, you will see a trivia question with two possible answers; these being Solar Power and Dry Skin. There are two main things to know about these questions; only one answer is right, and you do not have to put a "-" in-between words. So, the answer could be either "solar power" or "dry skin."&#x20;

### Trivia Shop

Using the command `/trivia` will bring you to the **Trivia Shop**. This is where you may spend your Trivia Tokens for all sorts of goodies!
